This week started with a gig for the W.I. in Alvechurch. A lovely venue with an equally lovely audience. As a possible final gig for Helen’s trio (for a little while at least), it was rather nice to have a captive audience who sang along and listened attentively.
Monday and Tuesday saw a few trips around the university as part of some location recce’s. I came across this room…
I’m not sure what these are…

The later part of the week saw me on a five day streak of shoots. I cobbled together this shoulder-mounted auto-cue rig so I could do roaming presenter. Works a treat, apart that it weighs a ton!

As much as I like digital, nothing beats pen and paper for planning routes.
As usual the university open days were blessed with glorious weather. So much so I burnt slightly on my face.

Slowly teaching Sophie-cat a new ‘trick’. A welcome home now involves a propped up nuzzle (and a lick if I’m not too careful).
Sunday was thankfully fairly chilled out after a long few days. Our friends joined us for a few hours, so we treated them to roast chicken with all the trimmings, and a gentle walk around our local washlands.
A short day of rest before the chaos began again on Monday.
