Our long weekend spilled over to this week, continuing the countryside, it’s animals, and the weather.
Our travels took us to two picturesque villages (Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water), which were pretty but too touristy for our likings. Wherever possible we’d escape to quieter areas of the villages, whether thats walking around a Model Village, or walking around the local nature reserve.
With my brother in-law just up the road, we met up to have a delicious meal out in the Foston Ash – I’d happily recommend you visit if you’re nearby.
The final day of our holiday started with a gentle walk around Birdlip viewpoint (looking out onto Gloucester), then heading down into the city to enjoy it’s delights.
We both went back to work on Wednesday having got a little wind-burnt. But soon enough it’s the weekend again, and another long weekend – I could get used to this!
