I’m writing this sat in on a new bed, in a new house, in a new area of the country, about to start a new job, and it all seems a little surreal, but strangely normal.
I travelled across the country doing overnighters for shoots in my previous job, having no real clue what tomorrow will bring – this feels no different.

Having reached three years at the company, it was time to move on. I’d come to work with a grand total of 16 videographers over the years (a lot were interns and freelancers), and had some fantastic chances to give and absorb knowledge. I’d grown complacent with some of the work, and it wasn’t pushing forward creatively as much as I’d like.
The timing was unfortunate in some ways, but it is the change I need.
Many a kind word were said when I left, and I felt blessed for being appreciated for the little things I do for others. Not something you can say everyday. Much cake and fast food was eaten Friday, as well as very generous gifts including this lovely watch!

I wouldn’t be able to blog without mentioning how much I’ll miss Helen. She’s makes me a better person. She is everything to me, and only seeing her weekends will be hard.

With lots of new things on the horizon, I’ll hopefully be kept too busy to notice the time apart. I moved up to Shepshed (near Loughborough) this afternoon with a car full of basic living stuff, and had unpacked in 30 mins. A house share on the very outskirts, its quiet, almost countryside. It’s a lovely house with everything I’ll need for a weekday crash.

Wish me luck in my new adventures.
